Rocky River Conservancy Projects

US EPA URBAN WATERS GRANT

 

     In March 2013, Upstate Forever secured a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (USEPA’s) Urban Waters Grant Program.  The Grant, in the amount of $60,000 was to be used to assist the Rocky River Conservancy (RRC) in the early phases of creating a Nature Park at the Rocky River watershed in Anderson, South Carolina. The Grant supported the following specific projects:

•Hydrological Assessment and Wetlands Restoration Plans

•Nature Park Master Plan and Education Plan

 

SC CONSERVATION BANK CONSERVATION EASEMENT

 

     In 2013, Upstate Forever, working with the RRC, secured a grant from the South Carolina Conservation Bank in the amount of $149K. The funds were designated to be used for land acquisition using conservation easements. Visit the project details at the SC Conservation Bank. Rocky River Nature Park
